This boho elopement-styled shoot at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes was jaw-dropping. Aislinn Timmons planned this incredible styled shoot for us, photographers, to show you couples just how amazing a sand dunes wedding can be! From Hannah’s dress to Kloie’s unique suit, every detail was intentional. This is your sign to elope in Michigan and let me tag along, because WOW!

Michigan Sand Dunes Wedding
The Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan are the ideal place for an adventurous, unique elopement. If you haven’t considered a sand dunes wedding before, I bet these pics of Hannah + Kloie will convince you easily!
These sand dunes are located along Lake Michigan’s sweeping shoreline between Muskegon and Ludington. With 2,000 acres of sand surrounding you, you totally feel like you’re on another planet!

These two were totally content just sitting together, cuddling up in the sand, which was so so sweet! These shots of them climbing the sand dunes, holding hands, and lost in each other’s eyes are seriously so romantic and dreamy. It was easy to capture the chemistry, love, and passion between these two, especially amongst the sand dunes!

Boho Elopement Details
I loooove how simple this elopement was – just the couple in love, flowers, and boho elopement attire. Despite what the wedding industry says, there’s no need for anything too fancy! You should celebrate your wedding or elopement how you want, especially if you’re wanting something smaller and less fussy than a traditional wedding. Why not just run away to the sand dunes and grab some flowers at Trader Joe’s on the way?!

ANd WOW did their rings add so much beauty to their hands, and made details fun to shoot! The dreamy detail shots with the sand running through their fingertips are some of my absolute favorites. We all know I’m obsessed with detail shots and these pics are a prime example of why!
Capturing details like this helps tell a love story by zooming into the small things that make it unique. Detail shots give a whole new perspective to set the atmosphere and feel all the emotions swirling around such a beautiful, significant day!

Kloie’s suit was super unique, whimsical, and romantic. The terracotta color paired with the tan, sandy neutrals of their location was just *chef’s kiss*!
The large boho bouquet by Studio Wilde Floral tied in allll the boho details wonderfully, especially with Kloie’s hat and the gorgeous sleeves on Hannah’s dress.

Unique Elopement Dress
It was SUPER windy this day, which was perfect for showing off Hannah’s boho elopement dress. The lace, the beads, the intricate floral design…. I’m practically drooling! This dress is an absolute work of art.
Her dress was designed by Daci Gowns, an amazing female-owned gown shop that designs and creates one-of-a-kind wedding dresses.

Their focus is on making completely unique dresses out of the highest quality silks and laces. Daci says that her gowns “embody the spirit of a romantic, boho, and adventurous bride!”
They’re so committed to building their brides’ dream dresses that they even offer unique little finishing touches like sleeves, capes, overskirts, and veils.
I thought this dress from Daci Gowns fit Hannah + Kloie’s bohemian elopement like a glove! If Hannah’s dress left you swooning like it did to me, then go to their website to see their options in the Bridal Collection or the process to create a Custom Gown.
