When Jackie told her fam about her dream to get married at the farm that’s been in their family for over a hundred years, they went above and beyond to make it happen! I was so honored to capture this beautiful wedding between Matt + Jackie. Every little detail of J + M’s Wisconsin wedding was absolutely perfect! This boho wedding will give you all the romantic, summer wedding feels.

It was the most gorgeous, clear sunny day, perfect for an outdoor wedding in Wisconsin. 

Fun fact: Matt had originally proposed with a grandmother’s vintage ring. Then Jackie paired it with a custom-made raw diamond ring as her wedding band! Check out the gorgeousness below – I love me a good unique, personalized set of wedding rings.

Getting Ready

The flowers in Jackie’s hair were such a dreamy addition to her already beautiful bridal look. It’s seriously one of the coolest wedding hair pieces I’ve ever seen! And, I love that it coordinated with Matt’s boutonniere! 

After getting ready for the big day, Jackie did a  first look with her dad and brothers. Cue the tears behind the camera while I watched this sweet sweet moment!

Her dress offered a stunning open-back look, with long sleeves, details on the sides, and a super long train! The little details are what truly make wedding gowns unique, so I love that she had sleeves and plenty of gorgeous tiny details throughout her dress of choice, along with an elegant off-white veil.  Not only did this style totally suit her, but it definitely matched the aesthetic of the day! 

As they got ready, Jackie + Matt separately read letters they had written to each other. It was a beautiful way for them to slow down and re-center themselves before their ceremony!

The Farm Wedding Ceremony 

This beautiful Wisconsin wedding was on Jackie’s family farm, as I mentioned before, and there were so many moments throughout the day that made my photographer’s heart swell! 

During their ceremony, there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd. And In lieu of a traditional unity candle, they watered a plant together. I love this symbol of how they’re committed to growing together. Such a cute and easy way to add a unique touch to your ceremony!

After saying their vows, one of the most magical moments of the whole day happened – their officiant surprised them with a butterfly release! This was seriously one of the most amazing ceremony moments I’ve ever witnessed. Everyone was so surprised and it totally added to the dreamy, boho vibe of their day. Also, it felt like it was straight out of a fairytale! 

The Beautiful Boho Wedding Details

I can’t show you this wedding without talking about these gorgeous boho details! The reception tent was nestled against a barn. It had hay bales and silos in the background plus to the bohemian table settings, the atmosphere was very elevated-yet-casual farm boho.

All the shades of tan, rust, yellow, and green came together perfectly to create the boho wedding vibe. To top it off, Jackie and her bridesmaids went barefoot! From the tiniest of details in the floral arrangements to the various bridesmaid dresses, this is truly all the bohemian wedding inspiration you’ll ever need.

And can we have a moment of appreciation for this breathtaking ceremony arch and the coordinating aisle decor?! The fluffy pampas grass and wooden logs were the perfect, simple details to decorate the ceremony space with.

An Outdoor Reception to End the Night

Jackie and Matt’s reception was held outside underneath a big white tent in the crisp, Wisconsin summer air. The boho decor from the ceremony was parallelled in the reception space – lots of wheat, shades of tan, and big fluffy pampas. And running down the center of the tables were a few floral arrangements and dark ribbon that added a beautiful touch!

Instead of clinking glasses to kiss at dinner, they accepted donations to a charity for a kiss – what a generous, personal spin on a normal wedding tradition! 

Over the last year, I’ve come to know these two as the life of the party! They’re totally the couple who can rock both being goofy and romantic with each other all rolled into one. As the dance floor opened up, it was obvious that these two surrounded themselves with people who loved to have a good time. 

Another super cute touch: these two are totally dog lovers, so it just made sense for them to have dog-themed party favors. 

In short, I cannot thank J + M enough for letting me be a part of their day! Every little detail was so PERFECT and I’m crossing my fingers that I get to have more adventures with these two down the road!
