It's looking at your wedding gallery and film for the first time and knowing that the images capture people's souls. It's never understanding how beautiful you are until you can see yourself fully, completely immersed in all of the little moments on your wedding day.

Passion Pursuit: The Impact of Following (or Not Following) Your Dreams

For Photographers

Hey there, dreamers! Have you ever wondered what your life would look like if you chose not to pursue your passions? Or maybe you’ve toyed with the idea of diving in wholeheartedly and want to know what that could bring? Well, buckle up because we’re about to take a ride into the future to explore these possibilities!

5 Years from Now: The Road Not Taken

Picture yourself five years down the line, living a life where you chose not to of purse your passions right now. Maybe you settled for a safe, but uninspiring job that pays the bills. Sure, you might have financial stability, but deep down, something feels off. The days blend into each other, and that fire within you remains unlit. You often catch yourself daydreaming about what could have been, wondering if you made the right decision. Regrets slowly start gnawing at your soul, and you yearn for something more.

10 Years from Now: The Lingering “What If?”

Fast forward to a decade from now. The job you settled for has become monotonous, draining your energy and leaving you feeling unfulfilled. You find yourself caught in a never-ending cycle of “what-ifs” and “could-have-beens.” The passion that once burned brightly within you has flickered out, leaving you yearning for more. You see others around you who embraced their passions and pursued their dreams, and a sense of envy washes over you. The regret intensifies, and you wonder if it’s too late to reignite that spark.

You feel limited because you’re income is controlled by your salary. No matter how hard you work or what the hours you put in, you’re never going to make more than the salary or hourly wage your employer is willing to pay you.

15 Years from Now: Embracing the Unknown

Now let’s take a different path. Picture yourself fifteen years into the future, having taken the leap and pursued your passions wholeheartedly. You wake up each day excited and energized, ready to tackle new challenges. Your work doesn’t feel like work because you’re doing what you love. Your passion has become your career, fueling your sense of purpose and fulfillment. You’ve encountered obstacles along the way, but they’ve only fueled your determination and made your journey even more rewarding. You radiate happiness and inspiration, and those around you admire your courage and tenacity.

It might have felt scary to make the choice from the beginning. You probably had to wait it out in your day job until you were able to make ends meet from your business alone… and let’s face it… you felt like a total imposter announcing you were starting that business too I bet!

But look much freedom you could gain if you commit to starting today.

Plus, what’s the worst that can happen?! The corporate world will always be waiting for you if you decide to go back and nobody is going to fault you for following your dreams and gaining experience running your own business.

What’s Your Choice?

Alright, now it’s time for some self-reflection. Which path do you want to be on? The one paved with regret and unfulfilled dreams, or the one brimming with passion and purpose? The choice is completely yours. Remember, it’s never too late to chase your dreams and create a life that excites you.

So, grab your courage by the horns, take that leap of faith, and start pursuing your passions wholeheartedly. Embrace the unknown, knowing that even the journey will be an adventure in itself. Don’t let regret consume your days—let passion guide your way instead.

No matter where you are in life, it’s never too late to ignite that fire within you and create a life worth living. What are you waiting for? Let your passions lead the way and if you’re debating diving into photography, download my free Full-Time Photographer Ebook to help you get started!
