If not now, when?

I’m a 20-something female who loves to travel.  Sounds simple enough, right?  Not quite.

Since the majority of my friends are starting their own families and settling down, I find myself traveling alone more often than I’d like.  Sometimes I’m torn between whether it’s really worth it to go by myself or if the part of me who loves hiding out at home would be better off waiting until I have a friend ready and willing to jump on a plane with me… which is becoming increasingly rare with every ring that’s put on my best friend’s fingers and each new face that we welcome into this world.

Moral of the story – it’s okay to be alone and to keep chasing your dreams, even if they don’t line up with the agenda of your friends, boyfriends/girlfriends and family.  It’s not easy and might throw you out of your comfort zone, but you’ll meet new people along the way and learn a lot about yourself and the world around you in a way you might have missed if you were traveling with a partner.

I was out working in Arizona and Nevada when I was lucky enough to connect with this awesome couple.  It was refreshing to explore such a gorgeous area and share the memory with some new friends.
