Carly + Brandyn looked absolutely stunning lovin’ on each other in the Colorado Paint Mines. If you’re looking for boho Colorado elopement inspo, this is it!

Carly + Brandyn’s styled sunrise elopement
Carly and Brandyn were our amazing models for this content retreat organized by Alyssa & myself (photographers – read more about that below!) They stuck with us through the early wake-up call (yay for sunrise elopements!) and the crazy wind we had at the Paint Mines. And after braving the weather for a while, it finally warmed up for all of us!

The details + outfits
We put so much intention into every detail of this styled Colorado wedding when styling it. Check out the vendors who helped us bring our vision together at the bottom of this post!
Every invite was hand-painted, the boho carpet was decorated with two white bouquets, Carly wore the prettiest simple hat, and did you even SEE that insane cape veil?! It was actually my own veil from my own wedding!

And can we talk real quick about the two-piece outfit she was rocking? The lacy top & flowy bottom, paired with her white hat and cape veil made for the most beautiful unique bridal look.

Not only did Carly look incredible, but Brandyn also rocked a simple yet perfect outfit: an all-white look with a brown belt, beige jacket, and brown shoes! Simplicity was key for these outfits, while still using unique touches like Carly’s veil.

About the Colorado Paint Mines
We hosted this shoot at the Colorado Paint Mines, one of the coolest places in the state. They’re located in Calahan, about 90 miles southeast of Denver. If you’re eloping in Colorado, this needs to be on your list of locations to consider!

Here are a few things to note about the park if you’re looking into visiting it or holding your elopement there:
- The park is free to enter
- The park is open from dawn till dark
- Dogs aren’t allowed, so if you have a doggo you want to involve in your elopement, this may not be the place for you!
And on this webpage, you can find the rules you’ll want to make sure your photographer follows for your shoot/elopement!

The Untamed Collective Content Retreat
Excuse me while I cry actual happy tears realizing what Alyssa & I pulled off at this content retreat!!
We were SO excited to share with everyone our latest project, THE UNTAMED COLLECTIVE, earlier this year!
The Untamed Collective will host connection and content retreats for modern photographers.

We have been pouring our hearts and souls into this to make it the most epic and unique experience that goes beyond any traditionally styled shoot or content retreat you’ve been to in the past!
The Untamed Collective will be hosting epic, multi-shoot content retreats that give photographers the opportunity to build their portfolios with adventurous, wild, edgy, and non-traditional content. But also provide places that focus on building a connection between the photographers who attend.

Truthfully, we’re not so low-key hoping that a few life-long besties emerge and that you’ll be able to build a network of photogs who dream as big as you do.
This beautiful styled elopement was part of our very first content retreat that we hosted in Colorado and we could not be more thrilled with how it turned out!
If you’re an elopement photographer looking for a community like this one, give us a follow on Instagram @the.untamed.colletcive!
